Manso Boutique Hotel, Guayaquil, Ecuador and on to Salinas

Day 3 - October 21, 2013

Woke up to a big parade outside our door on the Malecon.
Had a nice coffee on the lobby balcony watching the marching HS bands of Guayaquil....I tried the fried meat pastry and it is not recommended.

We walked the city for 2 hours trying to find "Ceviche", the # 1 restaurant on Tripadvisor Guayaquil........no luck.....visited the Cathedral and ate lunch at the very nice Uniparc Hotel restaurant......Carne Asada for Irene and Churrasco for me.
Checked out...Got picked up by our driver for the trip to Salinas.
2 hours later we shopped in La Libertad's Supermaxi Mercado.
Bought staples for our stay and headed to 2 degrees south ( our condo).
The place is fabuloso!... 3 huge bedrooms and 4 huge bathrooms.
60 'X 15' balcony with 180 views of the water and beach.
Direct TV, Flat Screen, Jacuzzi, mini mart on the 1st floor. We checked out
"Smokin", a nice new Texas BBQ restaurant next door on the Malecon.
Took a walk south along the Malecon to a great seafood restaurant (Lovin Oven) A 14 oz. Sea Bass Filet Limon with white rice and fresh broccoli and cauliflower. It was $7.00. Irene had a Shrimp Soup that was outrageously good....$6.00
Stuffed for awhile, we walked the beach and returned to enjoy our home made "Denver recipe"oatmeal cookies!
Followed the Seminole massacre of Klimpsin and then watched a 4 hour beach theatre performance on the beach directly below us....just before we peacefully nodded off!
