Magnificent Lima Peru - December 3, 2015

Along the Malecon of Miraflores, Lima, Peru
After spending two weeks in Lima earlier this year, we knew we had to return again. Our visit earlier this year simply whet the appetite for more. The rent is downright cheap. $2,300 for two summer months in one of the worlds great cities. Four bedrooms and three baths. Fabulous 180 degree views of the Pacific from a height of 330'. Our District of Miraflores is as upscale as South America gets. The four mile stretch of the Malecon which runs along the cliffs is as dramatic as Big Sur with a fabulous neighborhood attached.

After living just off Michigan Avenue in Chicago I can tell you that Miraflores restaurants, cafes and sight seeing match up extremely well. Known as the foodie capital of South America. it is one of the world's greatest gathering of famous chefs, it has blown us away with lunches and dinners that make you drool.

I'll get deeper into the food and restaurant scene in a separate article. Museums are fun and we saw the anthropological Amano Museum yesterday. I was amazed to find that various Indian cultures wore kilts about the same time as the Celts were wearing them in Ireland and Scotland.
